Textiles are seen and felt everywhere, yet their origins often remain obscure. Manufacturer labels sit hidden at the back of the neck or in the seam of a bag. Present, but equally overlooked. Much like the elephant in the room. During Salone del Mobile, BYBORRE® presented an activation that invited visitors to look beyond the surface, bringing textiles into focus as part of a more ethical, responsible, and design-led approach to problem solving. All while being surrounded by the legendary twelve Trivulzio Tapestries of Castello Sforzesco.

In collaboration with the City of Milan and a collective of industry changemakers, including The Woolmark Company, Montis, Mayer & Cie, and Arco, the Milanese castle was transformed into a platform to explore the future of the supply chain and those shaping it. I hosted the stage and moderated a series of talks with speakers including Sabine Marcelis, Amber Jae Slooten (The Fabricant), Mathieu Hagelaars (STUDIO HAGEL) and Bas Timmer (Sheltersuit). The programme drew both international press and an engaged Salone audience, turning the activation into a meeting point for dialogue, exchange, and new perspectives.
