Kasteel Gemert, a centuries-old castle in the south of the Netherlands, is currently being transformed into a five-star destination within Hilton’s Curio Collection. While the historic estate undergoes restoration, its first digital presence needed to introduce the landmark to the public and frame its next chapter.

I developed the editorial and UX copy that forms the narrative foundation for the hotel’s temporary website. The writing establishes the tone and positioning of the project during this transitional phase, capturing the moment between past and future.

The tone of voice was intentionally strategic. Short sentences create clarity and confidence, while longer passages build atmosphere and anticipation. Together they form a dynamic cadence that reflects the hotel itself: historic yet forward-looking, monumental yet intimate.

The broader redevelopment involves partners including Piet Boon Studio and a forthcoming two-Michelin-star culinary destination led by chef Soenil Bahadoer. The copy captures this pivotal moment in the castle’s reintroduction to the public while laying the narrative foundation for the hotel’s next phase online.
